ada Shift / 12-weeks program

Your team ships AI solutions. Your organization shifts.

ada Shift is the 12-week intensive program where your team builds a working AI solution, develops the capability to build the next one, and comes out connected to a community of people doing the same work.

01

Identify

Define the challenge. Assess the maturity level of the AI. Determine the scope to achieve a concrete result within 12 weeks.

02

Discover solutions with real AI agents. Test out different directions and decide what to develop.

03

Implement

Develop. Execute. Iterate. Your team is responsible for the solution, the documentation, and the implementation.

of AI projects fail.

The cause isn't technical.

Most organizations have run pilots. They've bought tools, sent teams to training, brought in consultants. And they still don't have a deployed AI solution they own. The failure pattern is organizational: no internal capability, no ownership, no culture of acting with AI. ada Shift is built to break that pattern by building the capability inside your team to do it themselves.

what ada shift is

Shift is not a project delivery program. It's three dimensions running at once.

1

The Impact Dimension

Your team works through three phases (Identify, Ideate, Implement) to build and ship a real AI solution for a real business challenge. ada's coaches are in the room when you need them but most of the work flows directly within the team and platform.

2

The Learning Dimension with ada Flow

From week one, every member of your Shift team has full access to ada Flow. Challenges, credentials, skill tracking, Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment — running in parallel with your implementation work. Individual AI capability builds alongside the project. When Shift ends, the Flow subscription continues. Your team keeps building.

3

The Community Dimension

Shift teams get exclusive access to ada's live events. Those are sessions where people building AI in practice share what they're working on. And every Shift contract includes a ticket to ada Growth Days, the in-person event where Shift alumni, Flow subscribers, and new prospects come together. The energy shift that comes from being in the room together is part of what Shift delivers.

How it works

The 12 weeks, broken down.

The project consists of three phases.
ada Flow runs continuously in the background. Your team doesn't need to write any code.

  1. 1

    Identify

Define the challenge. Map your team's current AI maturity. Set the scope that makes a real result possible in 12 weeks.

  2. 2

    Ideate

Explore solution approaches with real AI agents. Pressure-test the direction with data and expert input. Decide what you build.

  3. 3

    Implement

Build it. Run it. Iterate. ada's coaches are in the room when you need them but most of the work flows directly within the team and platform. At the end, your team owns the solution, the documentation, and the capability to take it further.

  4. Throughout · ada Flow

Throughout all three phases: ada Flow is running. Every team member is building individual AI capability in parallel. This includes challenges, videos and live events so the learning doesn't stop when the project ends.

Good fit

You've run AI pilots in the last 12-24 months with limited results. You have a concrete business challenge where AI could drive measurable impact. A leadership sponsor can commit a cross-functional team of minimum five people for 12 weeks. You want internal capability, not a solution someone else built and left behind. Or you want to build AI capability systematically across functions for example by sending a new group of ten people through Shift every quarter.

Not a fit

You're looking for someone to build an AI system for you. You want AI awareness training without implementation. You need results in under 12 weeks.

If any of these apply, say so. We’ll tell you honestly whether ada Shift is the right fit, or what might work better.

FAQ

The questions we are asked most often.

How is this different from bringing in a consultant?
plus icon

A consultancy builds a solution for you. When they leave, the knowledge leaves with them. ada Shift builds the capability inside your team. When ada Shift ends, your team owns what was built  and knows how to build the next one.

We've already done AI training. Why do we need this?
plus icon

Training teaches concepts. Shift builds applied capability. The difference is whether your team can design, run, and own an AI workflow in production — or just describe what one is.

Do we need technical people on the team?
plus icon

No. ada Shift is designed for cross-functional teams in non-technical roles. ada's coaches handle the technical execution. Your team covers the business domain. That's the harder part.

What's the difference between ada Flow and ada Shift?
plus icon

Think of it as a product ladder based on what you want to achieve. Flow is for individuals and teams building AI capability over time at their pace, through challenges, videos, and live events. Shift is for organizations with a complex challenge they want to solve project-style, with AI embedded throughout. With ada Shift, your team works through a real problem with ada coaches on demand. On-site working days and Growth Days attendance create an energy shift that a platform alone can't produce. Many organizations use Shift as a rolling model: sending a new group of ten people every quarter to systematically build AI capability across functions. ada Flow is included in every ada Shift and continues afterwards if needed. Shift creates the deep shift, ada Flow maintains and grows the capability.

How much time do participants need to commit?
plus icon

Five to seven hours per week per participant , all structured and plannable. This covers Future Lab work (at least 30 hours across the three months), building and applying individual agents, learning with Flow, two virtual community events per month, and the Growth Day. Shift is designed to run alongside existing roles, not replace them. The challenge isn't the time itself. It's getting management to protect it. This is why we require an executive sponsor before a cohort starts.

What kind of AI solution can we actually build?
plus icon

Anything tied to a real business challenge your organisation owns. Sales tools, reporting automation, customer interaction agents, HR workflows, operational process improvements. The only constraint: it has to be a real problem, not a hypothetical one. The teams that get the most out of ada Shift are the ones who bring a challenge they're already frustrated with. If you realize during the project that you can build a fitting solution that doesn’t need AI yet, it is absolutely fine.

Who from our organisation needs to be involved?
plus icon

An executive sponsor, a COO, CEO, or equivalent who is visible and accessible to the cohort. Without that, participant time won't be protected and deployment will stall. Beyond the sponsor: a cross-functional team of 5–20 people, and ideally an IT contact involved from week one. Not as a gatekeeper but to de-risk production deployment.

What happens when the twelve weeks end?
plus icon

Everything is completed within the twelve weeks. Though internal pitches and decisions about what to do with the Future Lab results are what you'd expect afterwards. Three things stay with you. The deployed solution, so your team owns it and can develop it further. The ada Flow subscription continues if integrated in your contract, so individual AI capability keeps building. And the outcome report is yours to use internally and externally.

How does ada handle data security and GDPR?
plus icon

ada is German-built, GDPR-native, and the platform carries BMBF federal R&D funding. During the programme, your team builds inside ada Flow. Production deployment happens on tools you already run (Microsoft Copilot, n8n, Langdock or your own stack. We brief IT and data protection teams directly on request.

Is ada Shift relevant for EU AI Act compliance?
plus icon

Yes. Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires organisations to ensure their staff have appropriate AI competency. Shift completion is documented and the credentials are EU AI Act Article 4 aligned. This is evidence your organisation can point to.
