Former factory and state-of-the-art co-working space meet #LGBTQIA+ club.
This year, we’re rolling out a unique concept for you - the “unconference” conference.
On the first day of ALF, we welcome you to our 3-point convention hub - the Vollgutlager, the SchwuZ, and the Impact Hub Berlin. Here, you’ll explore future-topics on various event stages and have the chance to immerse yourself in thought-provoking discussions and lively interactive sessions.
The Vollgutlager – in the middle of Berlin’s trendy neighborhood Neukölln – is embedded in the area of the Alte Kindl brewery, formerly used as a production hall where the „Vollgut“, bottles, were processed on long assembly lines. The rough character of a former industrial production hall combined with remnants of the creative underground scene meet in the Vollgutlager and make up the special charm of this space. The entrance to the Vollgutlager is via the Kindl staircase on Neckarstraße, already offering a graphic highlight and past the Vollguter community garden. The garden is a open community project where one can learn from each other about sustainability, experiment and explore.
Read moreThe SchwuZ was founded in 1977 and is Germany’s oldest queer club and largest queer cultural venue. They fought the fight for recognition and equal rights even when terms like gendering, hate speech or body shaming did not even exist. Anyone who can relate to the term ‚queer‘ and the perception of it is welcome here. The SchwuZ is directly connected to and accessible through the Vollgutlager and will offer you fascinating sessions during the day and – of course – our legendary ALF Party in the evening.
Read moreThe new Impact Hub Berlin space is the biggest Impact Hub in Europe fostering impact innovation and entrepreneurship – home to a new generation of entrepreneurs. The site is located in the heart of Berlin with 3,500m2 of state-of-the-art offices, coworking space for individuals and organizations; laboratories and gastronomy units. The space design is rooted in sustainability principles and, once operative, the building is a showcase for sustainability and inclusive design, from its use of renewable energy, to its on-site zero-waste café. The Impact Hub offers even more space for Deep Dives around topics like the Mind's Inner Universe, Climate Tech and AI, is near by the Vollgutlager and the SchwuZ and is a perfect location for our first festival day.

Chart your own adventure: Embracing the principles of community co-creation, innovation, and hands-on experimentation, you’ll work together with other festival attendees to shape the program, drive discussions, and foster meaningful connections. Mix-and-Match venues and even work groups across several WeWork co-working spaces. For that, we change the venues to several WeWork Locations across Berlin. Festival attendees and participants will be split into smaller groups and each person will be scheduled for one location by serendipity. This is an on-site exclusive event.
