Mihaela Sartori

Accessibility Consultant

Over the past few years, I have been providing guidance to both colleagues and clients on the topic of digital accessibility. I advise on technical implementation, accessible design and integrating accessibility into projects, as well as highlighting economic and social significance. One key objective of my efforts is raising awareness about accessible online shops, emphasizing the benefits to every online shopper regardless their physical and cognitive capabilities.

Yes, blind people actually shop online – we only have to let them

There's a common misconception that people who are blind or have limited vision don't engage in online shopping. To challenge this belief, we conducted usability tests on our client's online shop in collaboration with a foundation for the blind and visually impaired. In this presentation Mihaela shares the outcomes of these tests and emphasizes the significance of implementing accessibility measures and how people who are blind are indeed capable of shopping online – if you let them.
