Dr. Florian J. Egloff currently serves as Head of Cyber at the Swiss Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport. In that capacity, he and his team lead Cybersecurity and Cyber Defence at the strategic-political level for the department. Before joining the Swiss government, he worked at ETH Zürich, researching the role of non- and semi-state actors in cybersecurity, the politics of public attribution, and the use of cyber intrusions for political purposes. Florian holds a DPhil in Cybersecurity from the University of Oxford, an MA in international relations from the Graduate Institute (Geneva), and dual BA degrees in law and international affairs from the University of St. Gallen.
